THE HALL VIEW FLOOR PLAN Q. Can I view the hall before making a final booking? A. Yes, a visit can be arranged through the Booking secretary who will respond to your provisional booking - Click here Q. What is the seating capacity? A. The Hall has capacity for 120 people in total. Possible seating plans Q. Is there access for disabled persons? A. Yes and there is also a washroom facility. Q. At what time must the hall be vacated? A. The bar and music will finish at 11 pm and the hall vacated by 11.30 pm. The hall and kitchen must be cleared of food and other items. After Friday and Saturday night bookings the tables and chairs must be cleared away by yourselves. Q. What are the Terms of hire? A. A summary is attached but the specific terms will be supplied when a booking is made. EQUIPMENT Q. Is Wifi available? A. Yes Q. Does the hall hire charge include furniture? A. The hire charge includes use of round tables (8) 5 ft diameter and/or trestle tables (19) 6x2.5ft, assorted small tables plus chairs. You will be responsible for erecting these and putting them away. Q. Are cutlery and crockery supplied? A. If you hire the kitchen then these will be included in the price see list of equipment Q. Can I hire our own equipment? A. Yes, but it will have to be collected the following day. Q. Can I bring in Helium balloons? A. NO! Helium balloons are not permitted within the building. CATERING Q. Can I do my own catering or hire an outside caterer? A. Yes, the Hall does not have an in-house caterer. We have a list of local Westbury caterers -click here to download BAR Q. What are the arrangements for the bar? A. A fully licensed well-stocked bar can be provided on a Friday or Saturday evening only and requires a minimum spend of £150. It is staffed and run by volunteers at no extra charge. Q. What time does the bar stop serving drinks? A. The bar will normally be open from 7:30 pm to 11.00 pm. For the wedding package it will be open from an earlier agreed time There is no provision for extensions beyond 11.00 pm. Q. Can I bring my own wine and other drinks? A. Hirers should note that the Hall Management Committee has the sole right for the dispensing of all alcoholic drinks. Should you wish to provide your own wines please discuss this with the Bar Manager, there is always a corkage charge payable in such instances. Our current wine list and details of corkage can be found here Wine list MUSIC & SOUND SYSTEM Q. Can I hire a live band and/or disco? A. Yes, for local Westbury list of musicians and audio hire please click here to download. Please also note because we have a responsibility to local residents, all music must finish at 11.00 pm. A noise limiter is installed and is set at 95 decibels. You will be asked to accept the conditions relating to this - for more information please click here to download file. Q. Can I bring in recorded music to play? A. Yes, we have a modern sound system with facilities to play ipod, ipad etc. and CDs. Q. Do you have any microphones? A. Yes we have remote hand, throat and head-band mics available for use. |
